If Anyone is Still Listening to Me…

I apologize for the light posting. My new programming gig started yesterday and I am up to my rectal orifice in code.

In the meantime, I have these quick thoughts/questions:

1. Why does Wade Phillips have a job?

2. Is there any reason I shouldn’t bitch slap Dick Cheney if I ever get the chance?

3. How is it that hip/hiphop (oy!) is music if the people who perform it aren’t musicians? (I’ll come back to this one soon).

4. Nothing is more fun than taking your five year-old soon to the comic book shop.

5. I need a sandwich.

    My only guess as to why Wade Phillips still has a job is that firing him would require Jerry Jones to (a)fire Jason Garrett along with Wade or (b)make Garrett the new head coach. Both are bad options since Garrett didn’t exactly make himself look good this season and firing him would be expensive.

    My hope, as a Cowboy fan, is that Detroit will hire Garrett as their head coach (I don’t know why they’d do that, but it is Detroit & they did ask permission to speak with him). That way the Lions will have to buy out his contract & Dallas will be free to fire Wade.

    I’m listening.

    I don’t get hip/hop (though I like your redundant hip/hip) particularly since I consistently hear snippets of music from my salad days, regurgitated. Except for Tupac. I get Tupac. Or is that solely rap? To me, if it ain’t Chaka Khan, it ain’t music.

    Elektra/Assassin is the baddest graphic novel ever. Frank Miller at his conspiracy theory best. Bill Sienkiewicz bad acid trip art. Can’t find it anymore, but neener neener, I got one.

    I’m listening.

    @kenda

    Well, here is Buffalo Bills land, what Ralph Wilson tends to do is tell the coach he can keep his job if and only if he fires the assistants. This will either weaken the coach among the players and the he can be fired or the coach grows a pair and quits out of loyalty to the assistants.

    It’s worked well, don’t you think?

    Hip/hip sounds like it could be urban music for the Easter season. I saw Chaka Khan play a club date back in Las Vegas and she rocked my world. That club, incidentally, is about a quarter mile from where Tupac was shot. I was roughly 100 yards away when it happened, though I didn’t know that until the next day.
