You had a thought and expressed it. This is your blog and you get to do that. TNC highlighted it and people over there had thoughts and expressed them as well. It's good that you expressed it. Even with the vitriol, folks at least TALKED ABOUT IT. Now I happen to think that you didn't have all the information before you came to your feeling. I think many who shared your feeling didn't have that information. There are many reasons for that but mostly it's present and historical social construct, I think. If you all did, PERHAPS you'd have felt different, but jeez, there's no guarantee to that. And argumentative is good as long as you're arguing from a good faith position and not just to get people all riled up. I cannot imagine you a jerk, either on the interwebs or IRL.
